This is a fixed term position with an immediate start.
Contract position with the opportunity for permanency in the future.
The Project Support Officer will:
Project creation, proposal development and assist with the preparation of quote and tender requests
Procure materials and services for projects and general works including raising Purchase Orders
Schedule works with internal and external stakeholders and record information in the electronic document management system (DMS)
Track and record project progress in the DMS, ensuring stakeholders receive periodic progress updates.
Ensure the stakeholder database is maintained with relevant contact details, information and documentation
Reconcile costs associated with minor works packages
Establish and maintain effective project administrative procedures
Provide executive administrative assistance to the Director including report writing and research
Coordinate travel, book flights and itinerary arrangements as required
Critical to your success in this role will be the proven ability to demonstrate
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar project officer role
experience in construction/infrastructure
intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office applications
a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
an ability to work as part of a team and maintain effective work relationships
strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
In addition you
may have completed formal training in a relevant field such as project management, finance and/or contract administration
should be comfortable working on a wide range of simultaneous tasks and changing priorities
will maintain a positive Federal police check and current Australian Drivers licence
You will be required to successfully complete a pre-employment medical prior to any offer of employment.
